The deadline for submitting an abstract to the workshop is Sunday 18th June, 2017.


Abstracts should be related to the Monte Carlo radiotherapy system PRIMO. Authors should address their abstracts to one of the following areas: Treatment planning; Dosimetry; Algorithms; Education. Other areas, if relevant, can also be accepted.


Structure of the abstract: abstracts should contain: Title; List of authors; Affiliation of each author; Email address of the first (presenting) author; Body of the abstract; Tables and figures (if necessary); Conflicts of interest (if necessary); References (if necessary).

Title: abstract titles should be brief and reflect the content of the abstract. Do not use capital letters in the title except for words that are always capitalized and do not abbreviations. Questions are not allowed as titles.

Body of the abstract: abstracts should be structured as: Purpose/Objective; Material and methods; Results; Conclusion.

Length of the abstract: abstracts must not exceed 3,000 characters (body of the abstract, including spaces).

Table and image: authors may include two data tables in the body of the abstract (this is not included in the number of characters) and two images in JPG, PDF or PNG format. The maximum file size of each image should be 500 KB. Equations can be inserted in the text as images (JPG, PNG or PDF format). Those authors willing to send multiple files should send them as a single ZIP file.

File format: authors should submit the abstracts as Microsoft Word files.


Abstracts must be sent per email to abstract@primoproject.net

Please state in the email the name of the submitting author and preference respect to oral or poster presentation. A confirmation email will be sent within the 72 hours after submission.

The abstracts will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee. Accepted abstracts will be assigned either to oral or poster presentation. All submitting authors will be informed about the decision reached by the Scientific Committee before the end of June.


With the submission of an abstract the first (presenting) author:

Accepts responsibility for the accuracy of the abstract and ascertains that all authors are aware of the content before submission.

Accepts to be the contact person for all correspondence related to the abstract and to inform the co-authors about its status.

Accepts to identify any financial interest in products or processes described in the abstract. This includes stock ownership, membership on any advisory boards, commercially sponsored research or any other substantial relationships.

Abstracts must be submitted and presented at the conference in English.
