ABOUT PRIMO

PRIMO performs full Monte Carlo simulation of radiation transport in the linac geometry and patient CT using either the general-purpose PENELOPE code or the fast Monte Carlo code DPM, all wrapped under an intuitive and hassle-free graphical user interface. PRIMO is free software.

What is PRIMO?

PRIMO is a dose verification system that simulates clinical linear accelerators (linacs) and estimates absorbed dose distributions in phantoms and computed tomographies.

Technical requirements

PRIMO runs on any computer with one or more Intel processors and with a Windows operating system. It does not require any additional software.

Who is PRIMO for?

Medical physicists and radiation oncologists working in the routine clinical practice on external beam radiotherapy, research and education.
